EFFECT OF URETERAL LIGATION, PHLORIDZIN AND MERCURY BICHLORIDE ON THE GLUCOGENIC FUNCTION OF THE KIDNEY

Abstract
Ureteral ligation and phloridzinization did not prevent the kidney from acting as a source of blood sugar in the eviscerated rat. Admn. of mercury bichloride led to the prompt development of hypoglycemia in this prepn.
