The Effect of 11-Desoxy-17-Hydroxycorticosterone on Renal Excretion of Electrolytes

Abstract
Results of injn. of a normal dog with 11-desoxy-17-hydroxycorti-costerone showed that it belonged to the group of compounds possessing "Na and Cl-retaining" property. Addition of a hydroxyl group on C17 to desoxycorticosterone resulted in formation of a compound with lower sodium and chloride-retaining properties but similar addition to corticosterone resulted in formation of a compound which facilitated Na and Cl excretion.
