Effects of Computer Anxiety and Computer Experience on the Computer-Based Achievement Test Performance of College Students

Abstract
This study investigated the impact of examinee computer anxiety and amount of examinee computer experience on the differences between the test scores obtained using computer-based versus paper-and-pencil achievement tests. The results indicated that neither feelings of anxiety toward computers nor lack of experience using computers had a debilitative effect on examinee performance when a computer-based test was used. Neither computer anxiety nor computer experience appears to play a substantial role in moderating the usefulness of computer-based tests with college students.Keywords
