Abstract
Since the mid 1970s, transfer of supervisory skill training from the classroom to the workplace has been revolutionized by techniques such as behavior modeling, role play, and in particular reinforcement of skill use on the job. A reinforcement agent advocated to be both effective and necessary for transfer of training is the student's boss. But the utility of using one's boss to reinforce on-the-job supervisory skills is questionable. Keywords
