Toxicity of Several Antibiotics Administered by Injection to the German Cockroach1

Abstract
Adult German cockroaches of both normal and chlordane-resistant strains were employed. LD50''s were ascertained by graphing 3 or more points on logarithm-probit paper. Nine antibiotics were tested; penicillin was the least toxic, polymixin the most toxic. No differences in response were noted between the resistant and normal strains.
