Abstract
Experimental data are interpreted as evidence that with increasing irradiation temperature above Stage I in metals there is an increasing probability that close pairs will dissociate. The dissociated partners contribute to the damage produced during elevated-temperature irradiations in the same way as free defects produced otherwise. Keywords
