Abstract
The angular distribution of electrons emitted after absorption of a large number of photons is strongly peaked in the direction of the light polarisation. The effect of space charge is to broaden the central lobe. It may also explain the vanishing of the first peaks in electron energy spectra observed with a small collection angle. Keywords
