Abstract
These data indicate that while both metacortandralone and metacortandracin ([DELTA]1F and [DELTA]1E) are without effect in the promotion of uterine growth in the ovariectomized rat, they both share in common the ability to restrict in part the action of estradiol-17 beta on the growth of the uterus of the ovariectomized rat. Addition of another double bond in ring A of compounds F and E does not potentiate the estradiol-inhibiting properties of compounds F and E.Keywords
