Some Observations on Cretinism and Its Treatment

Abstract
THE present paper is a report of findings in a group of cretins who have been under observation at the National Institute of Arthritis and Metabolic Diseases. The patients, gathered within the course of a year, suggest that the condition is far from disappearing, and their histories reaffirm that tardy recognition remains a major problem of the syndrome.The studies reported include those related to bone growth, cerebral activity and thyroid function.
