Abstract
The fluorescent stretched-out analog of cyclic[c]AMP, namely linear-benzo-cAMP, maximally activates rat brain protein kinase and protein kinase from rabbit skeletal muscle. The corresponding linear-benzoadenosine inhibits kinase activity slightly less than does adenosine. The 2.4 .ANG. and wider versions of cAMP and of adenosine interact with protein kinase in a manner similar to that of the natural compounds. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
