Abstract
Cells of M. tuberculosis 607 can be made resistant to ethyl gallate by exposure to the drug. The resistant cells are also cross resistant to several other esters of gallic acid. No noticeable morph. changes nor loss of acid fastness due to the presence of any of the gallates tested occur. This is true for both resistant and inhibited nonresistant cells. Keywords
