Abstract
The numbers of neutrons and protons produced in the reactions 10B(αn)13N and 10B(αp)13C at 1·51 mev bombarding energy have been compared and the ratio of the reduced widths, γ n 2/γ p 2, found to be 5·7±0·5. Between 1·4 and 2·4 mev bombarding energy, the emission of protons is closely similar to that of neutrons, but γ n 2/γ p 2 has fallen to a value nearer unity at a resonance at 2·16 mev. The resonance previously reported when 11B is bombarded by alpha-particles of 1·58 mev energy has been shown to be a doublet and a further resonance for neutron emission, but not proton emission, has been found at 2.05 mev. Keywords
