Abstract
The medium employed by Kidder and Dewey for Tetrahymena geleii and the medium employed by Hallman, Michaelson and DeLamater for Endamoeba histolytica were experimentally altered to permit growth of T. cruzi in the presence of chick RBC fixed on strips of filter paper (0.02-0.03 ml RBC per 5 ml medium) and tryptose. Tryptose was replaced for successive subculture by a combination of adenylic acid, glutamine, orotic acid and cytidylic acid used at the 20 [mu]g-per-ml. level and Na acetate at the 5 [mu]g-per-ml.level.Keywords
