Abstract
Pericardial rupture from blunt thoracic trauma has a high mortality rate. We present a case of a pleuropericardial rupture with cardiac incarceration. The recent literature is reviewed and the previously unreported use of computed tomography as a diagnostic modality is discussed.Keywords
