Abstract
The rate of fat absorption, as measured by changes in blood fat levels and a modified Cori technic, changed by the use of supplements of Tween 80 and 60, Myrj 45, Span 60 or glyceryl monooleate at 20 or 6% levels of the ingested fats. As detd. by the rate of passage of the stained fat along the intestine and titration of free fatty acids in the recovered fat, there were no changes in the fat splitting or intestinal motility in the rats when the emulsifiers were added to the ingested fat. Keywords
