Abstract
The heads of 20 guinea pigs were exposed to 8,000 r (8 kr) of X-radiation. The thershold of the pinna reflex was detd. several times prior to and at various time intervals after irradiation with pure tones of a frequency range between 800 and 6400 c.p.s. In the majority of the animals X-radiation caused complete abolishment of the reflex within 24 hrs.; a statistically significant rise of the threshold became evident at 3 hrs. after exposure. Keywords
