Abstract
An emission spectrum of SiSe is observed between 3900 and 4300 AA. The transition involves the ground state x1 Sigma + and the ( sigma pi ) a 3 Pi state, most probably the a 3 Pi 1 component. Silicon tetrachloride and traces of selenium vapour diluted in helium are sent into a Schuler discharge. Vibrational assignments are discussed: Te(3 Pi ) approximately=25075 cm-1.Keywords
