Abstract
Megaselia chlumetiae Disney sp. n. is described from India. Its larva parasitizes larvae of Chlumetia transversa (Walker), a pest of Mangifera indica. Eggs are laid on the integument of the host larva. Newly emerged fly larva enter the host and develop by consuming the host's internal tissues. Pupariation normally takes place within the host's empty skin. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
