Abstract
A method of identification of tracks of heavy fragments emitted from highly excited nuclei in photographic emulsions exposed to 4.5-GeV negative pions is described. Charge spectra, energy spectra, angular distributions, etc., of the fragments are determined. An argument is presented for an isotropic emission of the fragments in the system of the moving parent Ag—or Br—nucleus. Keywords
