Abstract
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), also referred to as primary immune thrombocytopenic purpura, is defined by a low platelet count, normal bone marrow, and the absence of other causes of thrombocytopenia. This review focuses on ITP and its management in adults.
