Abstract
The colonisation of reticulated biomass support particles, by entrapment of effluent solids, was examined using two rapid techniques far preparation of scanning electron microscope specimens. These techniques involved either air‐dried samples or the Sputter‐Cryo apparatus. Examination of the biofilm could take place within 45 minutes and the techniques gave high resolution, high magnification electron micrographs. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
