Abstract
Aflatoxin, a toxin from the fungus Aspergillus flavus Link which grows on peanut meal, was found to have the properties for sterilizing the adults of yellow-fever mosquitose, Aedes aegypti (L.), houseflies Musca domestica L., and fruitflies, Drosophila melanogaster Meigen. The percentage of egg hatching and, to a lesser extent, that of egg production, appeared to be affected by aflatoxin. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
