Abstract
In 2 cases of subpial cerebral siderosis, subarachnoid hemorrhages occurred repeatedly over a long time. These cases demonstrate that subpial cerebral siderosis can develop without a generalized disturbance of iron metabolism. One of the cases was peculiar because progressive mental deterioration was the main initial symptom. The 11 cases reported in the literature were compared. To the clinical picture of subpial cerebral siderosis belong evidence of repeated subarachnoid hemorrhages, decreased hearing, and unsteadiness of gait with cerebellar signs and pyramidal tract signs. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
