This review presents data about the frequency of fever in rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, crystal induced arthritis, various vasculitides and sarcoidosis. The mechanism by which body temperature rises in these situations is discussed. Keywords
