Abstract
Twenty culture vials, each half filled with hay infusion containing thousands of D. nasutum cysts, were stoppered and stored. Samples were tested for viability annually by transfer to vigorous Paramecium culture. All vials contained living cysts after 7 yrs., and some of the cysts in one vial were still alive after 10 yrs. of encystment. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
