FATAL PERICARDITIS DUE TO HISTOPLASMOSIS - REPORT OF A CASE

Abstract
A case of chronic rheum- atoid arthritis with fatal histoplasmosis involving the lungs, pleura and pericardium is described. Purulent pericarditis was a terminal complication. The rare association of pericarditis and histoplasmosis is reviewed briefly.
