Paravertebral and peripheral ligamentous ossification: an unusual association of hypoparathyroidism

Abstract
Summary: A 62-year-old man with idiopathic hypoparathyroidism and extensive paravertebral and ligamentous ossification is reported. The clinical and radiological findings of this, and other reported cases, are discussed and compared with other causes of paravertebral ossification.Keywords
