Abstract
3,5-Diido-4(4''-hydroxy)-phenylsulfidophenylalanine was synthesized as a possible inhibitor of the anterior pituitary thyrotrophic hormone. It was non-toxic to mice in doses of up to 0.5 g./kg. (subcut.) and 0.25 g./kg. (intraven.). It accelerated metamorphosis of Xenopus laevis tadpoles 20% as much as thyroxin. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
