Abstract
The Kbeta /Kalpha 12 X-ray intensity ratio of the Si K spectrum was measured for proton impact on SiO2 in the energy range 300-800 keV. An energy dependence of the intensity ratio was found and an explanation is given in terms of multiple ionisation. Keywords
