Abstract
An analysis of the Burgers vectors of dislocations in sapphire, revealed by x-ray transmission topography, confirmed the existence of the Burgers vectors parallel to the directions. Experimental evidence for the magnitude of the Burgers vectors is given. Numerous dislocation reactions of the type are verified. Keywords
