Abstract
Summary Considerable amounts of nonesterified cholesterol were found in human serum freed from lipoproteins. This cholesterol, when incubated with synaptosomal plasma membranes of dog brain, evokes changes of the ouabain-sensitive ATPase activity, as the exogenously added cholesterol does. Keywords
