Computer Aided Analysis and Design of Multiple NonUniformly Coupled Microstrips and Other Transmission Lines

Abstract
Analysis and design techniques for nonuniform coupled line multiport networks are formulated. Techniques presented include the use of an enhanced piece-wise uniform stepped impedance model for general nonuniformly coupled line structures and a simple yet accurate CAD compatible SPICE model developed for identical nonuniformly coupled lines. Computed and measured results for typical structures are included to illustrate the distortion and cross-talk noise associated with coupled microstrip interconnects in microwave and high speed digital circuits.Keywords
