Abstract
Blood plasma FFA concentrations have been determined in 22 dairy cows. Plasma FFA concentration averaged 0.34 [plus or minus] 0.08 meg/liter. Treatment with growth hormone resulted in an average 50% increase in plasma FFA concentration 6 hr after administration. Four experiments indicated that growth hormone treatment probably resulted in increased acetate turnover. This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
