Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 34-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of fever, diarrhea, persistent jaundice, and a worsening gait disturbance.The patient was apparently well until four months earlier, when abdominal pain developed and he was admitted to this hospital. He had immigrated from Jamaica 18 years earlier and was employed as a graphics designer. He admitted to taking as many as eight drinks daily on weekends but consumed only four bottles of beer during the week.
