Abstract
Rats maintained on a pantothenic acid-deficient diet excreted much smaller percentages of test doses of sulfanilamide in the acetylated form than did control animals. Adrenal cortical extract had no influence on the reduced ability of pantothenic acid-deficient rats to acetylate sulfanilamide. Thiamine deficiency did not affect the ability of male rats to acetylate sulfanilamide as indicated by urinary excretion values. Keywords
