Abstract
Previously, the interferon-mediated 2''-5'' adenine oligonucleotide inhibitors (2-5A) of cell-free protein synthesis were undetected in intact cells. Here their natural occurrence in interferon-treated, EMC [encephalomyocarditis] virus-infected mouse [fibroblast] L cells is reported in amounts consistent with the theory that they play a part in the inhibition of virus growth. Keywords
