Numerical results on the velocity correlation function in liquid argon and rubidium

Abstract
Based on a theory developed in an earlier paper (1979), results for the velocity correlation function and its memory function in liquid argon and rubidium are presented. The effects of the repeated correlated collisions, building up the tail in the memory function, are investigated, and the different contributions from the coupling to density and current fluctuations are separated. Detailed comparison is also made with existing molecular dynamics data.Keywords
