Abstract
The elastic constants of alpha quartz are computed from a model due to Kleinman and Spitzer. The ratios of the calculated values to the values measured by McSkimin and co-workers are as follows: c11, 0.6; c12, 1.4; c13, − 3.0; c14, 1.5; c33, 0.4; c44, 0.7; c66, 0.5.This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
