Abstract
Following streptococcal vaccine in rabbits the white cell count may be depressed without change in blood histamine; following antiplatelet serum the blood histamine drops significantly and is associated with a fall in the number of platelets. In platelet-containing plasma the histamine is roughly proportional to the number of platelets and is centrifuged out with them. The platelet is apparently the chief carrier of blood histamine in the rabbit. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
