Abstract
Synopsis: Conodont faunas from the Durine Member of the Durness Limestone Formation have yielded sixteen species. These faunas bear a close resemblance to previously described ones from North America and Scandinavia and suggest an age for the upper part of the Durine Member near the Arenig-Llanvirn boundary. This is somewhat at variance with Poulsens’ suggestion that the whole of the Durine Member is of Llanvirn age. Keywords
