Aharonov-Bohm effect and gauge invariance

Abstract
The authors study the Aharonov-Bohm effect in a gauge for which the vector potential vanishes wherever the magnetic field does. They then show how gauge invariance implies the existence of Aharonov-Bohm scattering and excludes solutions recently discussed in the literature.Keywords
