Abstract
The phonon dispersion relations in the three symmetry directions of the noble metals copper, silver, and gold at room temperature have been determined from a model for the lattice dynamics of metals recently propounded by Chéveau. The results agree reasonably well with recent neutron scattering experiments. Keywords
