Abstract
Three dose-response relationships were used in assaying lysine on chicks between the ages of 10 and 20 days; weight gain and food con version were related to dose level of lysine; and weight gain was also related to the weight of lysine eaten. The calculation for the 3rd type of relationship is given in detail, with a worked example. In 2 experiments the analysis relating food conversion to lysine dose gave rather less precise estimates of the relative potencies than that relating weight gain to lysine dose; both were less precise than estimates obtained by relating weight gain to lysine eaten, but this latter analysis required very lengthy computations. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
