Abstract
Lipids of the surface and lamina propria of bovine gingiva are characterized and compared. Most of the lipids are contained in the lamina propria. The most prominent surface lipids are cholesterol, cholesterol esters, and phospholipids as compared with the typical storage triglycerides of the deeper layers. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
