First-Order Phase Transition in Metallic Vapors

Abstract
We obtain a first-order phase transition in metallic vapors under high pressure which is due to the fact that the equation of the law of mass action for the ionization processes does not have a unique solution. One of the consequences is a gradual nonmetal-metal transformation.Keywords
