Abstract
A double-blind trial with niridazole has conclusively shown the value of the drug in the treatment of dracontiasis. The therapeutic efficacy was evident from the rapidity with which healing occurred in more than 90% of the patients in the niridazole group. Although minor side effects were seen in a large number of patients, the acceptability of the drug was fairly high. Keywords
