Abstract
A novel mathematically simple and physically transparent derivation of the Efimov effect is presented by means of a new efficient method for solving coordinate space Faddeev equations. The method, which is directly applicable on small computers, is used to obtain energies and wave functions of the Efimov states. Keywords
