Abstract
Vascular changes of the brain and heart in rabbits with experimental renal hypertension were studied by means of vascular profile chart method. Hypertensive vascular disease in the brain was represented by thickening of the media of the vessels of about 100[mu] in diameter. This change was effectively prevented by hypotensive therapy. No difference, however, was found in the cardiac arterioles between control and hypertensive animals. Cerebral hemorrhage was seen only in non-treated hypertensive animals therefore it is conceivable that cerebral hemorrhage may also be prevented by effective hypotensive therapy. Keywords
