Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 34-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of a rash.Fourteen years previously asthma developed, and she came to the Medical Clinic. On each of several visits the blood pressure was normal except on one occasion, when it was 145 systolic, 105 diastolic. The white-cell count was 19,800, with 63 per cent neutrophils, 3 per cent band forms, 16 per cent lymphocytes, 6 per cent monocytes and 12 per cent eosinophils. Skin tests for multiple common antigens were negative. A mixture of theophylline, ephedrine and phenobarbital was prescribed, together with penicillin and potassium iodide. Erythematous . . .
