Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 45-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of dyspnea. For 20 years he had experienced mild attacks of asthma, limited to the summer months. Eleven months before admission diabetes and hypertension were found. Tolazamide was given for two weeks, and a diet was prescribed; he lost 9 kg in weight and thereafter regulated the diabetes with diet alone. Sodium restriction and oral medication were prescribed for hypertension but were omitted six months later when the blood pressure was found to be normal.
